Glowing reviewFeb 07, 2010
When my 2-1/2 year old daughter came home from preschool asking for a Care Bear, I thought it would be an easy request to grant. I quickly found out I was wrong. While there are plenty of Care Bear DVD's, coloring books, and other items available in stores, there were no dolls to be found. The reviews for this "Glitter & Glow" edition on Amazon all seemed positive, so I placed an order just in time for Christmas. My daughter was thrilled. I have to admit, the glow feature is really cool! Just 30-seconds under a light bulb, and her tummy, nose, ears & feet (white areas) glow brightly; the rest of her body (the pink fur areas) also emit a feint glow as well. I was a little bit disappointed at first that the white/glow areas are not furry, and the material is somewhat scratchy, but since my daughter doesn't seem to mind, it's all good.

I bought this bear for my daughter for Christmas and she has really enjoyed it. I'm not sure how much it actually glows, but it is pink and soft and cuddly. I'd definitely recommend it to others.

My daughter received this Carebear for her birthday and loves it. We were surprised to see that even the fur will glow in the dark. Another surprise was how long it would glow. We are very happy with it and are considering purchasing another. The seller shipped the item very quickly and the 2 bears were packed very well.
I did lower educational value, since for us this is just a fun toy. The price does appear to go up and down (as I watched the price afterwards). We must have found it at a great time.

I had care bears as a child so I love the fact that they are still around but even cuter than they used to be. Only con about this bear is that you have to hold it up to the light before it will glow in the dark but not a big deal.
