the first time we opened the roof it fell off; not particularly well put together and it is very small. the pieces are so small they are difficult to pick up even by a child's small fingers. it did not meet my expectations

[...] We have this and my daughter enjoys the little kitties that came with it, but the house falls apart and the furniture is too small and doesn't really fit the figures. This toy is literally about the size of a large can of soup.

For the money, I think you're unlikely to get a better dollhouse--it comes with three figures, numerous pieces of furniture, two levels, and even a backyard with a pool. . . then it can be folded and carried along to grandma's house, a boring waiting room, anywhere!
Potential buyers, understand that this is a /miniature/ dollhouse. Read the dimensions before you decide to buy. It's very small; that's one of its positive aspects, in my opinion! I believe it would be fun for a Hello Kitty lover perhaps 6 and up; I would not recommend it for toddlers or preschoolers.
My major gripe with the portable aspect is that the door swings freely open--that's great when playing, but not when transporting; pieces could get lost. Try scotch-taping it shut when you travel with Kitty.

My daughter enjoys this toy, but the wall and roof that open come off very easily, and she's not able to put them back together herself. Also the pieces are TINY, so they will likely be lost soon. But anything Hello Kitty makes her happy.
