Great toy!Aug 08, 2010 I am extremely pleased with this toy. It works wells with all the cars we've tried. I got this track for my 3 year old and he loves it and can play with it easy (I do have to adjust it for him upon setup). My 5, 8, and 10 year old practically took over this toy when it was first set up. My only concern it that the plastic seems a bit flimsy, however it hasn't broken or warped yet. I love that it can fold up.
My Son's "VROOOM VROOOM" trackJun 09, 2010 I love the ability to fold it down so much for storage the most about this track. If my 2y/0 trips and falls on the track, it just unsnaps instead of breaking. It has provided us with hours and hours of fun so far :-)

Buy This One If You Are Looking for Hot Wheels TrackMar 10, 2010 This type of track seems to hold the kids' interest much better than the automated self-propelled, powered tracks. On this one, the kids actively participate in setting the cars up at the starting line, resetting the flags that show the order of finish, and choosing the cars to race in each heat.
On the battery-powered tracks, the kids put a car on, push a button, and then just sit and stare at it. They usually only last 5 minutes staring at those types of tracks.
This track is much better and the kids will play with it for hours.
As other reviewers have noted, the 4 track sections, while folding up/out, do fall apart if the kids are rough with it or trip over it. However, once set up initially, the kids can put it back together themselves (at 4 years old). As an adult, I see this as a miss in the design, but it doesn't seem to bother the kids. I didn't deduct stars in my rating for that, but can see how it would irritate other reviewers.
I initially laughed when the review form asked about Educational Value. But I think there actually is some. In a world where kids are given trophies for participating and no one loses (or wins), I think it is not bad for them to learn that in the real world, someone wins, and someone loses. The kids also learn that the heavier cars will tend to win due to their weight. And contrary to the 5-disc DVD set of the old Saturday morning cartoons, Speed Racer does not always win (but he learns from his mistakes and losses).
Highly recommended.

Hot Wheels racewayFeb 08, 2010 This product arrived broken. It was not well packed or packaged - but not designed for durability anyway.
I won't purchase another.
Hot wheels race trackJan 08, 2010 I bought this race track as a gift for my 2 year old, race car obsessed, nephew. My son, who is 8, has the same track and has played with it for three years. Both boys love their tracks. The track is easy to set up, put away and store and can be taken along on trips, playdates etc.. It is so simple (gravity!), yet has provided hours of play. It's easy enough for a toddler and still fun for an older boy, as well as those in between (we have lots of pre-school-grade school visitors). I'd recommend this to anyone who has too many hot wheels around their house, and doesn't want to wrestle with setting up the complicated twisty tracks.
